Kazan Arena is one of the largest stadiums of Russia and is the home arena of FC Rubin. It is a multifunctional complex designed for football games, sports competitions, entertainment shows and mass cultural events. The stadium was opened on June 14, 2013.

It is the first football stadium in our country to be constructed specifically for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. The functional areas of Kazan Arena are organised according to the 5th edition of the FIFA Football Stadiums Technical Recommendations and Requirements.

Architecturally Kazan Arena is a round structure with four tiers of open stands and 4 entrance sections. Complete with state-of- the-art technology, the stadium complies with all safety standards. Its unique architectural style provides perfect visibility from any of its ends.

The stadium hosted its first match Rubin Kazan – Lokomotiv Moscow on August 17, 2014 as a part of the Russian Football Championship and already on November 5, 2015 it hosted the UEFA Europa League match Rubin Kazan – Liverpool.

The stadium played stage to the 4 matches of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, including one semifinal. The Kazan Arena Stadium will host six 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ matches, including one round of 16 match and a quarterfinal match.
